Orbit Yoyos: the ultimate holiday gift

Looking for a cool gift for someone close to you or for yourself this Christmas holiday that will last for years to come? We’ve got you covered. In this guide, I will discuss all our different yoyos and which one to choose as the perfect holiday gift.

The Spinstar

The Spinstar is a super durable yoyo that requires almost no maintenance, except for replacing your strings every now and then, making it perfect for kids under eight years old.

The Velocity

The Velocity can be set to either responsive to learn all the basic tricks like Walk the Dog or unresponsive to do more advanced tricks like Double or Nothing while still being one of our cheapest yoyos, making it ideal for enthusiastic kids around eight to twelve years old.

You can read our full guide on responsive vs unresponsive yoyos here.

Double or Nothing

The Arrow

The Arrow can also be set to either responsive or unresponsive, just like the Velocity, but it has a larger bearing, allowing it to spin longer and do more advanced tricks. It also has a metal finger spin hub, allowing you to do finger spin tricks like The DNA, one of the most well-known yoyo tricks on social media, where most adults will ask me “Can you Walk the Dog?” if they see me yoyoing. Most teens ask me “Can you do The DNA?” the Arrow is perfect for teens that want to impress their friends with popular tricks.

What yoyos do we recommend for adults

If you only want to do the old-school tricks like Walk the Dog or Rock the Baby and want a yoyo that plays similarly to the Coca-Cola and Fanta yoyos from your childhood years, then the Spinstar is perfect for you. But if you want to be able to do all of those tricks and a few advanced tricks, I recommend going for the Velocity or the Arrow.
